You're probably right. However, throwing the odd and interesting animal behaviors doesn't hurt. I hope they make a movie out of these two in the same vein as "Milo and Otis"

Milo and Otis was a damn fine movie. I especially liked the part where the fox was burying his muskrat and Milo was up a tree waiting for him to leave so he could eat it. If that fox hadn't been so paranoid he could have eaten his own muskrat.

I overheard someone talking about while I was in line for coffee. So I came back and googled "hippo and tortoise and tsunami." Pow! Next thing I know these two little fatties are staring at me.
